Upon entering their school the students of James Ashford High found their hallways unusually quiet, when they arrived Tuesday morning. Where the halls usually echoed laughter and pleasant conversation, on this particular day there were only whispers and accusing eyes. At least that was how it seemed to Terrance Holmes. From the instant he stepped onto his school bus that morning, everyone around him was staring and talking about him. It seemed that this was the type of attention you gained when your best friend kills himself.
